MEDITATIONS
Meditation is to be aware of what is going on
- in our bodies, our feelings, our minds and the world ...life is both
dreadful and wonderful.
To practice meditation is to be in touch with
both aspects. Don't think you have to be solemn to meditate. To meditate
well, you have to smile a lot.
Thich Nhat Hanh
(Vietnamese Buddhist Monk)
You must understand the whole of life, not
just one little part of it. That is why you must read, that is why you
must look at skies, that is why you must sing, and dance, and write
poems, and suffer, and understand, for all that is life.
Krishnamurti
Since before time and space were, the Tao is.
It is beyond 'is' and 'is not.' How do I know this is true? I look
inside myself and see.
Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching
Sit down before fact like a little child, be
prepared to give up every preconceived notion, follow humbly to wherever
and to whatever abyss nature leads or you shall learn nothing.
Thomas Huxley
View all problems as challenges. Look upon negativities that arise as
opportunities to learn and to grow. Don't run from them, condemn
yourself, or bury your burden in saintly silence. You have a problem?
Great. More grist for the mill. Rejoice, dive in, and investigate.
